Laminated glass is a type of glass which can be used for glass walls, outdoor facing windows and doors. It is known as safety glass and is composed of at least two layers of glass which are bonded by a clear interlayer known as polyvinyl butyral (PVB) which is a resin that helps strongly bind the panes without affecting the clarity of the glass. It is so strong that when glass is broken, the PVB keeps the pane together rather than allowing the glass to fracture into large and sharp pieces. It is great for insulation against sound and UV radiation. We carry several types of laminated glass.
